For the 28th time, the Industrial Games which took place from 30 August 2019 to 1 September 2019 were held successfully. The theme for this year was 4th Supply Chain and guided by Bapak Stefanus Soegiharto. The annual national event held by the Industrial Engineering University of Surabaya was preceded by an online selection to screen 100 teams from all high school teams. Each team that consists of 3 students competed at Lenmarc Mall, Surabaya. This event has main sponsors Ando, D-Net, and Cleo.
After opening by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Eric Wibisono, Ph.D., games in the first day were rally games and strategic games, The Ruche. Each team collects points from their agility and ability to answer the challenges from the committee. Then on the second day a logistic simulation was carried out using onoine database. On the third day the 10 teams that successfully competed in final stage planed shoes supply chain using digital technology and presented it to the judges in English. Finally the juries that were consisted of Prof. Joniarto Parung, Dr. Amelia Santoso and Singgih (2013 alumni, Distribution Center Manager – PT Indomarco Prismatama) decided the 3rd place was team from SMA Saint Louis 1, 2nd place from SMA Santa Maria, and 1st place was team Insider from SMA Saint Louis 1. Each winner got cash, discount fee for joining Industrial Engineering University of Surabaya, and for the first winner got East Java Governor rotating trophy. (ih)
